2015 Cooking 4 Missions

We’ll be at it again on Sunday, April 19th around 12:30 PM. Bring your entree, soup/chili, or dessert to enter in the 2nd Annual Cooking 4 Missions competition. We are again challenging, and will likely defeat,  First Christian Church of Hematite. Don’t be too hard on them; they think they still have a chance!

Money won by St. Andrew’s will go to The Bridge, a St. Louis homeless ministry started in 2005 by the Centenary United Methodist Church. For more information, check out their website.

If you know that you’ll be entering a dish, please sign up on the Commitment Form at the back of the sanctuary and indicate which category you’ll be entering. That way we can plan for appropriate spacing and layout. If you forget, that’s okay too. Don’t be surprised though if some of you have already been added to the list without an option to decline or forget! (Perhaps…I don’t know…last year’s winners; Judy, Jim, and Terry?)

Category entries are $5/category or $10 if you’d like to enter a dish in 2 or all 3 categories. Registration forms will be available at church on Sunday, April 12th, or you can print this one here.

A few volunteers will be needed for crowd control, and a huge number of volunteers are needed for judging the dishes. Please contact Melissa McAlpine if you’d like to volunteer for the less glamorous, less filling job of crowd control. Volunteer judges become volunteers by showing up with pockets full of cash!
