In my report after my return from Annual Conference, I talked about changes to the Book of Discipline that were being discussed within our denomination. This process has been named “A Way Forward”.
Last week Pastor David, Marietta Martin, and I attended a presentation by Bishop Farr. The big thing that has happened is there have been 48 more proposals added to the three we were told about at Annual Conference. The ramifications were also pointed out regarding the fiscal responsibilities of churches to the pension fund if there is any kind of split within the denomination.
I am including some website links below if you would like to follow this process. But again I remind you there is a good possibility that when everything is said and done there might not be any change to the Book of Discipline.
Right now, I’m asking that you pray about this and remember when discussing this to start your conversation with “I may be wrong…”
