Movie Night in October will be on Sunday, October 13 at 5 PM. The movie will be My Dog Skip, a film starring Frankie Muniz, Kevin Bacon, and Diane Lane. The story centers around a boy growing up in Mississippi. Willie, Muniz’s character, is a shy boy who is unable to make friends in Yazoo City, Mississippi in 1942, until his parents give him a terrier puppy for his ninth birthday. The dog, which he names Skip, becomes well known and loved throughout the community and enriches the life of the boy as he grows. The movie is based on a memoir written by the late Willie Morris.
