The non-traditional mitten “tree” was a success! Those ladder rungs and ribbon had space for 51 pairs of gloves, 18 hats, 11 pairs of socks, and 3 sets of matching gloves and hats. Thank you for your generosity. The items have already been taken to schools to keep kids warm as we head into January.

Next mission: boxed Valentines. It might seem a little early to be thinking about it, but once everything moves from the red and green of Christmas to the red and pink of Valentine’s Day, try to pick up a couple of boxes of valentines. Some local elementary school students do not have the means to get valentine cards for their classmates, and your efforts will help bring a little joy to their school parties in February.
