Festival of Sharing

The Festival of Sharing is an interfaith celebration and gathering
of resources. As a cooperative response to world hunger, poverty,
and injustice, we seek to raise awareness of its causes and to address solutions. The Festival of Sharing promotes and supports projects and programs by providing funding and resource goods. When people of faith come together, our Sharing makes a positive and powerful difference in the lives of people in need.

Festival of Sharing is not possible without the help of churches throughout Missouri. There are 7 Sharefests, which are minigatherings and drop-off zones. These interfaith gatherings of resources connect the state of Missouri with a common goal: providing resources for our neighbors in need. In 2019, the St. Louis (East Region) Sharefest totals included the following items gathered in, packaged, and/or distributed:

  • 80 Baby Bundles
  • 106 Blankets
  • 277 Dental Kits
  • 576 Food Boxes
  • 781 Hygiene Kits
  • 278 Reading & Writing Kits
  • 60 Paper Products Kits
  • 4,000 pounds of rice packaged into 2lb bags
