We are going to have fun, whether you like it or not!
Ever felt like saying that? Well, it just so happens that we have this little snowman who, every time I walk by, has some way-too-happy remark to make about the season in which we find ourselves. At first, it was kind of entertaining, but now he is getting a little annoying; so annoying that I am considering changing my walking paths through the house. Ever felt like that? To escape that which seems annoying, we simply avoid it…at nearly ALL costs!
One piece of advice coming from the Clarity Clinic, a Chicago-based center for clinical therapeutic services, is for the individual to accept and respect the process of dealing with annoyances, part of which is recognizing some level of ownership for what annoys us. In other words, I can only thank myself for putting new batteries in the little snowman!
Now, I suppose you can draw multiple truths from this story…and that is good. Truth be told, if what I have written has managed to put even the smallest of smiles on your face, then I have achieved my goal…batteries included! Have a wonder-filled Christmas!
