Grow Up, Week 4: Take care of yourself
God is so good to us. I love to give back to Him! And when we choose to follow Jesus, He shows us how to grow better and better at following Him. This week’s point is all about that: No more baby stuff. It’s time to grow up!
Hebrews 5:13 says “…someone who lives on milk is still an infant and doesn’t know how to do what is right.”
Grow Up, Week 3: No Whining
No more whining or complaining. It’s time to grow up!
Philippians 2:14 says “Do everything without complaining and arguing…”
Grow Up, Week 2: No Excuses
It’s all about excuses keeping us from doing what God wants us to do. They hold us back!
James 4:17 says “Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.”
Grow Up, Week 1: No Stinking
This week, we’re talking about being mature by leaving bad choices and sin behind us. That stuff stinks to God! Our old sins stink to God, just like a lucky sock stinks when you never wash it! Gross! But Jesus cleans our hearts up and helps us leave our old ways behind when we follow Him. Even Jesus grew wiser and stronger for God!
Luke 2:52: Jesus became wiser and stronger. He also became more and more pleasing to God and to people.
