Fellowship of Christian Athletes trip in the works

Sarra Faust is going on a mission trip in May with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Club (FCA) at her college. She is asking for donations to cover her expenses for the trip and prayers for the time leading up to the work she’ll be doing.

This year’s group trip will take place from May 16-22. Approximately 15-20 students will be headed to Montgomery, Alabama and then on to Grayton Beach, Florida. This retreat is a worldview tour, leadership camp and mission trip all in one! Sarra and her cohort will visit places that shape their worldviews and help them answer questions about who they are and who they want to become. They will also partner with a local church to complete a service project.

Your gift will support the fundraising efforts of the students that plan to participate in the mission trip. The total cost for the group will be approximately $12,700, or about $750/person. The FCA has applied for a grant for $150/person and is working on additional fundraising projects. If you’d like to help in this effort, please add a memo line to your contribution for “Illinois College Mission Trip” and the church will forward contributions to the FCA office in Jacksonville, Illinois on Sarra’s behalf.

In other news, our collection of canned tuna in March was fabulous! We collected more than our 76 can goal, and the Food Pantry is appreciative of us collecting items that are difficult for them to source. Thank you for bringing those in, along with the body wash and pants that were also donated.

Of course, your contributions to Ukraine have been wonderful as well. Please continue to pray for those communities being divided by war.
