Pastor’s Note

Can you believe it? This year is almost over! A lot has happened here at St. Andrew’s UMC in the last year, and we have gone through a lot of changes. Who would have thought I would be asked to come out of retirement and lead the congregation that sent me into ministry over 20 years ago.

As I look back, I am thankful for this opportunity and the support I have received from everyone. My faith has grown in many ways during this period and I hope I have in some way helped you make changes in your relationship with Jesus, your Savior.

As we enter into the Christmas Season, I want to ask a special favor of each of you. Please take time before things get really hectic to make plans to brighten the life of someone outside of your family or circle of friends by introducing them to Jesus. Christmas is the time we celebrate the greatest gift anyone can ever receive. What better way to celebrate other than to pass that gift on to someone else.

If you are like me the best part of gift giving is the joy I receive from giving someone a special gift. What gift could be more special than eternal life? That is exactly what believers in God and those in a relationship with Jesus receive.

My Christmas prayer for all is that it is joyful, peaceful, and full of hope and love. Enjoy the celebration of your Savior’s birth and spread the good news that goes along with having a relationship with your Savior.

Merry Christmas to all!

In Christ’s Love,
Pastor Steve
