A little community time!

You know the Addams Family, right? As summer turns to fall, which slides into the deadly quiet of winter, all is right with the morbid, macabre world of Gomez, Morticia, Fester, Grandma, Wednesday, Pugsley and Lurch. And it seems only appropriate that the Hillsboro Theater production bring them to life with our very own Marshall Bedell filling the very large shoes of Lurch!

The Addams Family, a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family–a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before–keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

There are four offerings for this play, and you can catch one or all of them and show your support for Marshall!

Just a reminder

We’ll be decorating the Sanctuary for Advent and Christmas on Monday, November 27, 2023 at 5:30 PM. You and your family are welcome to join us and hang ornaments and greenery throughout the church. There will even be some soup or pizza for dinner. We’ll be sure to have something to eat since we’re Methodist and can’t pass up a chance to gather and not have food! It is a fun tradition to begin our Advent season with some fellowship and decorating.
