Here is my very big thank you for all those who served in this summer’s Vacation Bible School, Love in a BIG World. No less than sixteen (Yes, that’s right…16!) workers were involved each day in communicating through music, games, crafts, Bible lessons, stories, breakfasts, and snacks about God’s Love. And that does not include all of those who sponsored a breakfast through monetary gifts. All in all, the kids had a great time, and St. Andrew’s showed the many facets of how love is lived out in God’s big world. Thank you so very, very much.
The Summer Sermon Series, Message in Song, continues through July. Here are the songs you can look forward to hearing (in some way) over the next several weeks…..I Got a Name, Let It Go, Folsom Prison Blues, Home, and One Call Away. You don’t want to miss a week.
I want to finish this article with another big thank you to the Missouri Annual Conference of Bishops – and St. Andrew’s UMC – for my being appointed to continue serving as your Pastor. Pray for me as this work continues to move forward. Opportunities for ministry are many, and none of us can do them alone. If God has shown me anything this past year, it has been that good people are ready to take hold of ministry that allows them to ‘flesh out’ their passion for doing God’s work in our town. Let all of us pray that God would send us more laborers to fields that are ready for harvest. Blessings.
