The Trustees and the Pastor-Parish Committee have been working together to update the parsonage. As mentioned before in the January newsletter, the parsonage was built in the late 1960s and has had only slight updates.
Since our current pastor has his own residence, we are updating the bathrooms while the parsonage is vacant. It is coming along nicely. Scott Graves is our contractor and has made a difference both with the upstairs bathroom and updating the laundry and bathroom area in the basement. He has built a separate storage area separating the laundry/bathroom from the storage area. The walls of the laundry/bathroom have been painted and the floor has been painted making the area more attractive.
There are still some other issues both inside and certainly outside that need attention. The deck needs to be updated, the eaves need to be updated, and the gutters need attention. Most repairs are costly especially since the condition has been “good enough” for sometime. Giving for parsonage repairs was first requested in January, and some have been received. Please consider making those donations, as they are still needed.
