Night to Shine updates

Although Night to Shine is held annually in February, there are a few updates to share.

The Tim Tebow Foundation sent out an announcement that they are very hopeful the 2023 Night to Shine will be held in-person. Of course, modifications might be made, but we are anticipating that February 10, 2023 will be a wonderful evening for our guests.

We also recently completed our application to host the event next year. Although we have been doing this for several years, the Tim Tebow Foundation asks us to apply each year as a returning host. That paperwork has been completed and submitted.

We again applied for funding through the Jefferson Foundation. This application was completed in early February. The result of that application should be shared in the next two weeks. The Foundation has been gracious enough to fund a portion of the event, and we’ve been fortunate to continue to work with them through the modifications that the pandemic required.

The committee has also started planning a trivia night fundraiser for the fall. It is scheduled for October 1, 2022, and we again plan to hold this at Vineland Elementary. The event last fall was good, and we’ve learned things that should make this one even better. Be looking for more details about how to get involved with the fundraiser during the summer.

As always, the committee that organizes Night to Shine can use your prayers. Please keep them in your prayers as we ensure that we show God’s love to a vulnerable group of individuals who have grown to mean so much to us.
