Our best isn’t good enough—but God’s grace is!

Two things often keep us from from freely accepting God’s grace. We either think we’re too bad for God to accept us, or we think that we can be good enough on our own. In this four-part series, kids learn that neither is true. Instead, God’s grace is available to us all when we simply accept the sacrifice Christ made for us on the cross!

Each Wednesday, a lesson will appear right here. You can also find lessons on the private Facebook group.

Week 4, Changed by Grace

We can’t get free from sin on our own—we need God’s grace to forigve us and the power of God’s Holy Spirit to change us!

Galatians 5:16 says, “…live by the Holy Spirit’s power. Then you will not do what your sinful nature wants you to do.” The Holy Spirit is the invisible spirit of God who fills your heart to lead, teach, help, and comfort you. He changes you to be more like Jesus.

Week 3, Heart vs. God

Being cool isn’t what it’s all about. We’ve got to check our hearts and see if it’s leading us God’s way before we follow it. The Bible verse this week is about that.

Romans 3:23 says, “Everyone has sinned. No one measures up to God’s glory.” Even when we try our best, we still can come up short. Thankfully, God gives us grace when we can’t measure up to His glory!

Week 2, Everyone Sins

No human can live their whole life without sinning. When we follow Jesus, God gives us something good instead of what we deserve.

Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Week 1, God’s Grace

Grace means we get something good instead of what we deserve. Jesus took the punishment for our sins so we could be friends with God.

Romans 10:9 says, “Say with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord.’ Believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead. Then you will be saved.”
